Today in my gmail account I received a rather funny spam/scam email.
 
The funny part was the opener.
 
It started with:
"How are you? i hope all is well with you,i saw your profil in (www.marry-an-ugly-millionaire-online-dating-agency.com)"
 
LMAO! I don't know if I should be happy or insulted by the suggestion that I have a profile on that site. What a niche!
 
What's more funny is the site does it exist. Check it out - fairly funny content - though doesn't appear to be a dating site.
 
Whats more is the domain seems to be owned by a fellow aussie:

Ramil, the wizard, helped me with some coding and I thought I would share it with you here on vldCrows as well.
 
When a member is logged in they will see a cluster of thumbnails of people who recently logged in to the site. I think that many members would be perhaps more curious to know who actually visited their profile. There's a link in the profile menu but having a quick glance visual is always nice, too. Here is what I wrote:
 
If someone is logged in the sidebar will show the last visitors to their profile. If someone is browsing the site without being logged in it will still show the last people to visit the site. I am working on version 2.5.5 but am sure that this can be adapted to earlier versions, if needed.
 
First you want to make a distinction between the latest visitors to the site which shows in the logged-out version versus the latest visitors to the profile which is what someone sees when logged in:
 
1. open yoursite.com\includes\languages\the_language_you_use\lang.core.php
 
2. search for: home_latest_visitors
 
3. after the lines:
 
"home_latest_visitors" =>
"Latest visitors",
 
add the following or change wording to suit your needs:
 
"home_latest_profilevisitors" =>
"Latest visitors to your profile",
 
4. open: yourdomain.com\templates\your_template\ext.members_online.tpl
 
5. Around line 3 you may see:
 
<h5><span>{lang:"core","home_latest_profilevisitors"}</span></h5>
 
6. Replace that line with:
 
<!-- IF loggedin -->
<h5><span>{lang:"core","home_latest_profilevisitors"}</span></h5>
<!-- ELSE -->

<!-- ENDIF -->
 
7. of course "home_latest_profilevisitors" must match what you entered in step 3 above in case you renamed it.

I think {members:} is the mighty King of vldPersonals extensions.
Some of you who moved to vldPersonals v.2.5.5 probably faced that you can't pass profile_gender1="" as param calling extension. That's not a bug or something...
In a nutshell if you don't care what Profile types is and not going to add more (having default one) you may open your ext.member.php and replace sql query with this one:

From this moment you can pass profile_label parameters as search criteria.
One moment though. Using this fix you can't use checkbox type values.

Some idea's came across.
I saw at Ska Dating that they offer a mobile version.
Now, that wouldn't be to hard I guess for VLD?
Just strip down a template and use more icons.
 
Only thing is, does anybody have an idea how to redirect when users surf with mobile phone?

I am working on changing layout of www.mysite.com/pictures/ into 4x3 (cp setting=12 pictures/page) from the original 2x format. What I have changed is:
 
rowcnt mod “2” to “4” in pictures.tpl so that,

However, the result looks quite weird (www.mysite.com/pictures/) . Has anyone any suggestions on this?
