I"m not sure I get your point. I'm finding out there are hundreds of jquery plugins. My concern is how many jquery javascript lines am I going to put in my header to accomplish every little task. If I keep it up, my header will have more lines than the body of the template.
 
Maybe I'm old school and today this does not apply, but I was taught that javascript (jquery) is not good for search engine spiders. However, it is hard not to have some javascript. I have come to the conclusion that if a feature is an absolute and it has tremendous advantage for the scirpt, I'll use it. But if it's improvement is minor, I'd rather not use it as a feature if it will be another road block the search engine spider has to deal with in keeping it from indexing your content. Like anything, you really have to find a happy medium, but to go javascript crazy with your site does not seem wise if you are concerned about SEO.
 
Thats my take...maybe others feel differently.
